Florists in the United States range from neighborhood flower shops with a walk-in cooler to studio designers who work only by appointment for weddings and events. Most retail florists build arrangements to order, deliver the same day when you call before early afternoon, and belong to a wire network (FTD, Teleflora or BloomNet) that passes out-of-town orders to a local shop. Ordering from the shop directly rather than through a national website usually means more flowers for the money, because no order-gatherer takes a cut. Flower markets and wholesalers sell loose stems and bunches, often early in the morning, and many now open to the public. Flower farms grow seasonal blooms such as dahlias, peonies and sunflowers and sell by the bucket, by subscription or as pick-your-own.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 9 amβ5:30 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Flowers Atlanta at (404) 233-9404; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, flowersatlanta.net.

Atlanta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Traffic in Atlanta peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

My order/delivery was logistically difficult. Adam at Flowers Atlanta handled it with me honestly and directly. I deeply appreciated his candor at a difficult time and he made it right. This is rare in this age of AI and bots! thank you Adam

I had a really really hard month- my dad had a stroke, I found a mass on my dog that needed surgery, and of course my house couldnβt be left out of the mix and my gutters started leaking. I decided to order myself flowers because I needed something nice to happen in my life. I found this beautiful bouquet and they were from a locally owned business with fantastic reviews. Always prioritizing local businesses I was so excited to receive my arrangement but when they got here, it actually was so bad that it made me cry. My nice gift to myself wasnβt nice at all just very very disappointing. I emailed about how small my premium arrangement was and received a single response- my second email received no response. If there isnβt going to be any sort of correction for a disappointing arrangement please donβt include that language on the card included with the flowers. I do want to give two stars based on how fresh the flowers were, they lasted a good amount of time. They were beautiful but the arrangement was incredibly small and looked nothing like what I ordered, not even in the same color family and I donβt think flowers have ever made me cry until now.

This was my first time ordering from this shop and I am incredibly disappointed. I worked in a flower shop for several years so I understand that what is listed on the website it not always exactly how arrangements are going to look and I understand that substitutions need to be made but what was made is incredibly sloppy and does not come close to what is pictured. The hydrangea is supposed to be the focal point of this arrangement but it shoved down in the middle where you can't even see it. Also purple iris is in there and Iβm not sure why. I ordered the arrangement over 2 weeks in advance so there should not be any reason for substitutions to be honest. The arrangement looks very sloppy and rushed. I paid a lot of money for this and what was delivered was not acceptable. I have tried to reach out the shop via email and phone about it and still haven't heard back. See the pictures below of what I ordered and what was delivered. Very disappointing.

As you can see from the photos that Flowers of Atlanta does excellent arrangements. I will call Adam and tell him the occasion and the price point and off he goes with his design/arrangements. He has never disappointed and the recipients always have nothing but compliments. Flowers of Atlanta and Adam should be your go to florist (they are mine).

I cannot say enough about Flowers Atlanta and the quality of their designs. I have sent 6 deliveries of flowers from them in the past month (one to myself and 4 to friends and family and 3 large pieces to my dadβs memorial service) and am attaching some of the photos. I wish I had more photos of the memorial service arrangements because they were beyond outstanding. The owner called to get specific details on the church to make sure the arrangements would be there at the right time and assured me that even if he had to deliver himself, that theyβd be there. And they were. I am posting a photo of the large pink heart, βHeavenβs Light Standing Heartβ. Iβve never, ever in my life, have seen anything so beautiful. We took it home since dad was laid to rest in a columbarium. It lasted a month and the blooms dried BEAUTIFULLY! Iβve kept many as keepsakes. I thought I had photos of the dried heart but canβt find them. The βSweet Solaceβ is the white roses and white liliesβ, WOW! It lasted a long time and after the roses died, the lilies kept blooming and after that, the beautiful greenery stayed and is STILL being used for roses Iβm buying at the grocery store!
